# Case study rich text

Long-form **work / case study** copy block: optional section heading, rich text body, CTAs.

**Prefer this** for new and lab case studies (multi-block stacks). Do not use Blog rich text or legacy Article rich text for new work multi-block content. New work leaves `visual` empty. Pictures are sibling **Visuals** (one image, or a row of three or more) or **Separated visuals** (a designed pair).

## What it looks like

Full-width section with standard vertical spacing. Section heading (CMS `heading`) uses case-study **section** typography (`h2Med`) — not page display scale. Page H1 is on **Article hero**.

Body uses right-aligned editorial columns (`.rtf-article` + `.rtf-article-right`). On a work article the space before the next image or quote is the sibling gap in `articles`, not padding on this block. Leave `visual` empty. A picture left on `visual` renders as part of this text block and misses that gap.

**One image or a row of three or more** → sibling **Visuals**. **True side-by-side pairs** → sibling **Separated visuals**. See `articles` and `case-study-from-package`.

Adjacent body-only blocks sit flush. **Merge continuous prose** into one block when no art sits between, so paragraph spacing stays inside the block.

## Typography

- **Heading (CMS)** — `h2Med` section scale; never display `h1`
- Body RTF — `.rtf-article`. Between a work article's body blocks, the plain paragraph padding that faces the next image or quote is cleared so the sibling gap is the space. A subhead keeps its top padding. The opening block keeps its space under the hero, and the closing block keeps its space above related cards.
- Body paragraphs right-aligned to the reading column on laptop

## Used fields

Same field set as Article rich text: `cmsLabel`, `anchor`, colours, `heading`, `preHeading`, `postHeading`, `body`, `visual`, `links`, `additionalCopy`, `icon`.

| Field | Notes |
|-------|--------|
| `heading` | Optional section title — omit when design has no on-page section title; do not invent |
| `visual` | Leave empty. A picture belongs on a sibling Visuals or Separated visuals entry. |
| `body` | Main copy as written; may include `##` / `###` subheads from source only |

## Field media scale

`visual` remains for entries that already use it. It uses **ContainedVisual**. Unset width on that field still defaults to **~67%** centred. New pictures go on **Visuals**, where an empty width is full column and a set width plus `horizontalPosition` places a single image.

## When to use

- New case studies and lab multi-block ports (`articleType` work) — copy only

## When not to use

- Blog posts → **Blog rich text**
- Existing production entries still on Article rich text → leave until migration
